The Communikate Screen Sharing extension for Chrome is an extremely lightweight Chrome extension to enable capturing of a tab as a image to broadcast to other listening browsers. It has the functionality to be used in real-time screen sharing as well as for creating HTML5 video and audio links that can be shared to others. 

How it works

Once you've activated the extension, you can select "Copy as Image" when you are in a tab and then "Capture Image" from the context menu to capture the currently viewed page. You can then paste this image in any other browser.

You will receive the image URL and you can open it in another browser to view it.

You can also make the link open in a separate window, which can be useful if you have more than one browser open at the same time.

You will be able to control the screen captured image through your JavaScript. You can add text and other objects to your image and share this image to other websites, which makes this a powerful tool for screen sharing and other kinds of communication.

This screen sharing extension can be used in combination with other screen sharing software, like with the Communikate Screen Sharing (Beta) app. This app is available for Android and is designed to be used with the Chrome extension to provide the best experience. You will be able to start the screen sharing session on one device and end it on the other.

You can use this screen sharing app in combination with any Internet connection, since the images are compressed.
